To all my new friends at Pollen,
Please allow me to introduce to you the New Vision Foundation, a nonprofit registered in Minnesota and founded to target major investments in disadvantaged youth here in Minnesota and in the developing world, creating opportunities that divert their vulnerable minds from hopelessness, disconnection and radicalization.
I have been a part of the nonprofit community in Minnesota for the past 15 years and was one of the founders of the African Development Center in 2003. As a father of two soon-to-be teenage boys, I could no longer afford to stand on the sidelines and wish away the major problems we have today of our youth being brainwashed by fringe elements that declare the West to be against Islam. By founding the New Vision Foundation, I’m challenging everyone, including myself, to think outside the box and make genuine attempts to engage, motivate and inspire disadvantaged youth here in Minnesota and across the developing world to maximize their potential and be better global citizens.
