This position performs advanced professional and supervisory work assisting the Building Official with directing and coordinating activities to improve citywide construction services with departments and agencies. Assists with strategic initiatives, inspection functions, engineering assessments, and plan reviews for construction requests within the City. Improves efficiency and consistency and increases levels of customer service provided. Performs site inspections and helps to ensure cost effective code services. Directs staff assignments, training and development, and evaluates performance. Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
