The MSP Film Society seeks a well-organized individual to join our staff full-time as Community Engagement Coordinator. This position plays a key role in assisting with maintaining and expanding the Film Society’s outreach efforts, working alongside the Program Director and Marketing Manager,
to grow our audiences for our festivals and year-round programming through various community partnerships and promotional campaigns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the main point of contact between MSP Film Society and Community Partners and Volunteers.
Inform existing Community Partners of upcoming events and programming that are of interest to their communities and audiences.
Identify potential new Community Partners and engagement opportunities and establish initial contact and inform them about MSP Film Society programming, festivals and events.
Maintain and update Community Partner and Outreach database on Airtable on an ongoing basis to ensure contacts are up to date and accurate.
Collect Community Partner logos and ensure they are accurately placed on relevant marketing materials.
Generate discount codes for Community Partners with Ticketing Manager; disseminate codes to partners and ensure they know how to use them.
Attend MSP Film Society events and festivals, both on and off-site, as a representative of the Film Society.
Assist in the creation and distribution of flyers and other promotional materials for The Main and to locations around the Twin Cities.
Coordinate the distribution of marketing materials, postcards, and other deliverables to partner organizations in a timely manner.
Participate and contribute to strategic planning conversations and brainstorms to develop new audience building strategies.
Update Outreach and Community Partner list with current contact information of our partner organizations in Airtable.
Assist in creating and managing target audience lists for use by teams throughout the organization.
Create targeted film lists for partner organizations during MSPIFF and other festivals.
Assist Publicity Manager with any press related needs.
Assist Social Media Coordinator with any social media needs.
Assist with audience and attendee feedback and data collection for goal analysis and grant reporting.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Enthusiasm, dedication, and high customer service skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Airtable or similar spreadsheet software, and Asana or similar task management software.
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
