Fashion + Social Causes
Instagrammers To Follow
Oct 28, 2014

When it comes to style and good design, the Twin Cities is ripe with talent. These fashion-forward Instagrammers — designers, brands, and stores — know a thing or two about crafting beautiful products and images. But just because they’ve got style in spades doesn’t mean they’re lacking when it comes to heart. In Part I of this series, we’ve got the Instagrammers to follow that not only have a discerning eye and good taste, but the ones who also support social causes.

Emma Berg is a name to know, and one that you won’t go long without hearing in the Twin Cities fashion and arts scene. But the designer puts her influence to good use creating pieces that benefit local charities, such as making custom prom dresses for teens from the local the Boys and Girls Club.

Midwest natives, Spencer and David, wanted an American-made brand that epitomized lake life. Great Lakes Clothing Co. was born, and it only seemed fitting to the pair to give back a percentage of their revenue to improving the quality of life in the Midwest and the health of the Great Lakes.
