It’s Time to Talk: Forums on Race
YWCA Minneapolis

It’s Time to Talk: Forums on Race fosters a space for racial justice engagement that is open to all people, no matter where they are in their racial justice journey. Participants connect with a network of people committed to racial justice and attendees leave the event ready to advance inclusion at work, in the community and with family and friends.

This year’s keynote speaker is Khaled Beydoun, a leading thinker on national security, civil rights and constitutional law. He has published a series of books, including the critically acclaimed “American Islamophobia: Understanding the Roots and Rise of Fear.” His insights have been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post and leading law journals. He serves as a professor at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville School of Law and Senior Affiliated Faculty at the University of California-Berkeley.

The strength of our future depends on our ability to develop new skills around inclusion and equity, understand the realities of racism today and commit ourselves to action. Join us to break through the barriers that perpetuate racism.
