You will use your strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills supporting the “back office” function of donor relations. You will oversee the end-to-end data entry and management function in our Salesforce system, essential to our Advancement Department. This includes capturing donor contact and gift information, sending timely, accurate, and grammatically correct correspondence, and managing data integrity. In addition, you will provide key support for fundraising events (house parties, golf events, galas) including event registration and volunteer oversight.This position offers growth in a collaborative, non-profit environment. You will bring data skills, ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and pro-actively communicate with the team. Pro-active communication is required to develop internal relationships with people across the organization who work at our program sites, in our offices, and remotely.Experience with fundraising preferred but not required. Attention to detail is a must! Ideal for an experienced Development Associate or a recent college graduate interested in advancing their career in non-profit management. The Development Coordinator will perform critical functions necessary for the Advancement functions. This is a hybrid position and includes working at drop-in sites at the agency’s Minneapolis office, St. Paul office, and from home.
Key Responsibilities
Gift Entry and Donor Acknowledgement (40%)
Enter donor contact info into Salesforce accurately and timely
Enter gifts, grants, contracts, and in-kind into Salesforce daily.
Pull reports from Salesforce for tracking; learn to navigate SalesForce through online learning
Manage end-to-end donor acknowledgement process including daily and weekly preparation of donor acknowledgement letters via email and mail.
Attend monthly meetings with Accounting Department to reconcile information. Proactively research issues, re-code, and communicate results.
Events Support (Donor and 180 Degrees’ Organization) (40%)
Set up event registration process in Eventbrite and other portals
Send invoices to event sponsors and track payments for events.
Manage ticket sales for event including house parties, donor tours, gala, golf events, and other.
Process payments on-site at events, reconcile credit card and other payments from events
Provide general support including ordering and managing supplies for events, creating name tags, and overseeing registration at events
Executive Support (20%)
Assist CAO with calendar management and scheduling and select communication
Prepare and submit monthly expense reports, DocuSign signatures.
Take on special assignments as needed
Order department supplies as needed
Takes on special assignments and projects and support needs of department
Skills/Experience Required
4 year college degree; 2-5 years administrative experience or demonstrated aptitude and strong technical skill set using Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint,, google docs, ChatGPT, docu-sign); Can create professional documents
Demonstrated experience entering data accurately, timely, and pro-actively
Able to pull reports as directed
Demonstrated skills to juggle multiple projects at a time, meet deadlines, and support multiple people in an organization.
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Good writing skills. Can draft and send emails, prepare reports.
Self-starter. Able to work independently, ask for assistance and clarification as needed, and actively seeks ways to improve the department and its operations.
