Meet the people behind the lens as we introduce you to the Pollenites to follow on Instagram. With visual footprints that are sure to inspire, these individuals have a knack for capturing everyday moments in a way that make us want to see more.

ASTRICT1

For years, Lindsay Ostrom spent her days teaching elementary schoolers and her nights in the kitchen. In 2010 she started to experiment with photography and blogging. Pinch of Yum was born. Fast forward to last summer, and Lindsay had gained enough followers to pen multiple e-books, start her own food blogging consulting business, and quit her full-time day job to maintain her website.

This self-taught blogger and photographer likes to keep her recipes practical and interesting, but above all else, delicious. Expect flavor-packed vegetarian dishes, noodles of all shapes and sizes, and dessert. Here’s a few more reasons @pinchofyum is one to follow.

1. We’ve never seen tofu look so good. “I’m trying to have a more natural style — less filters and less styling in post-processing,” says Lindsay. “I’m trying to emphasize the quality of the photo before edits so that all of it looks vibrant, sharp, and almost just like what it would look like if it was actually sitting in front of you on a plate.”

2. Great moments on the water. Lindsay and her business partner/husband, Bjork, recently moved into a home with a view of the lake that makes it look like the duo is permanently on vacation.

3. Lindsay’s take on traditional goodies is always irresistible. Plus, we love that she promotes wholesome, healthy eating with few ingredient restrictions.

4. We get to see the business side of how Lindsay operates. She gives followers a behind-the-scenes look at how she puts together a blog, photographs food, and makes money.

5. Lindsay’s feed is about more than just salivating over the food she cooks (though there’s plenty of that). She constantly gives followers the confidence and tools to get cooking in their own kitchens.
