The Annex Teen Clinic is the industry leader in sexual health and education for young people through the age of 25. JOB SUMMARY: 

Sexuality educators facilitate fact-based sexuality education and youth development programs to promote and provide tools for youth in the community to take control of their sexual healthcare.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Facilitate fact-based sexuality education programs for young people on such topics as contraception, sexually transmitted infections, healthy relationships, sexual orientation and gender identity, effective communication, and various other sexuality topics. This includes single-session and multi-session sexuality education programs.

• Build community relationships to facilitate parent education.
• Promote and schedule programming.
• Collect and enter program data in a timely manner.
• Write and submit monthly reports and other reports as needed.
• May recruit for and facilitate out of school time programs.
• Collaborate with partner organizations, schools, and Annex educators to deliver high quality programming.
• Participate in professional meetings and work groups, both internally and externally; build strategic coalitions; and build and maintain professional relationships.
• Engage in professional development to grow skills and knowledge around human sexuality, youth development, and facilitating sexuality education programs.
• Serve as an expert referral source for young people, parents/caregivers, educators, and social service providers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICAITONS:

Education and Experience:

• A college degree in education, youth development, human services, or related field; and two years’ experience working with adolescents. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
• The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience providing fact-based sexuality education.
• Experience recruiting and running engaging youth groups.
• Experience planning, prioritizing, and closely monitoring work plans and other administrative tasks with supervisor and as part of a team.
• Experience planning, organizing, coordinating and staffing for promotional efforts at community events and health fairs.
• Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Passionate about sexuality education and working with young people from diverse communities.
• Must be able to work effectively in a mission-driven agency whose clients and staff exhibit significant diversity with respect to race, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, socio-economic status, ability, nationality, and religion.
• Exceptional public speaking, facilitation and writing skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, outgoing, organized, and excited to work on a team.
• Skilled at engaging and building relationships with youth, parents, and community members.
• Must be flexible; some evening and weekend hours are required.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation and the ability to meet Annex Teen Clinic’s driving record requirements.

COVID-19 Protocols: 

Annex Teen Clinic strongly advises employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Employees not fully vaccinated must show proof upon hire of receiving the first dose of the Pfizer or Moderna shot and the scheduled date in which they will receive the second dose. Weekly COVID testing will apply until the second dose is completed. For employees who elect not to get the vaccine, regular COVID testing will apply.
