Over more than six decades living in this place called Minneapolis, I’ve met thousands of people, but more and more I’m struck by who I DON’T know. It may seem like a small town, but our community boasts a never-ending parade of new faces and voices. And that has never been truer than today.

At The Minneapolis Foundation, we celebrate the growth and diversification of our community, which is making our collective voice so much richer and more complex.

That is why we are proud to celebrate and connect people who help make Minneapolis a vibrant place where everyone can thrive. We asked you to name leaders you think are working to make Minneapolis a more equitable community, and that you wish more people knew about, and in response, you tagged more than 150 people.

You may not know them, but they’re making their mark on Minneapolis. Pollen and The Minneapolis Foundation are Tagging the people who may not get the headlines, but are dedicated to making Minneapolis a better place for everyone. Hear from them, in their own words.

Stay tuned for more!
